At Nature Earth if it is not edible and not created by nature then we do not believe it should enter our skin. Our body butter is made from Shea Butter & Coconut oil which are both 100% edible and 100% natural.
Our Raw Ghanian Shea Butter is hand extracted from the nut of the Shea Tree (Vitellaria Paradoxa) which is an ancient, non hybrid, alkaline plant only naturally found in West Africa. Raw Shea Butter has a natural ivory colour but is commonly dyed yellow with borututu root or palm oil. Our Shea Butter has not been dyed and maintains its raw natural colour.
Our Shea Butter is also unrefined. The process of refining Shea Butter involves high temperature mechanical extraction plus adding solvents and chemicals like hexane and bleach. This process destroys the healthy minerals, fatty acids and nutrients we need, along with the natural scent and colour from the Shea Butter. This process is unnatural and is the reason why we only produce unrefined and organic Shea Butter.
Shea Butter has a wide variety of applications and is widely used for natural skin and hair care. It contains healthy fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins and minerals, triglycerides and cetyl esters which balance oils on your skin, promote circulation and healthy skin cell growth, nourishes and conditions your skin, locks in moisture and much more.
